SURPRISE, SURPRISE – DIANA’S BIRTHDAY!

The day was September 17th and the main event was Diana’s birthday. Diana, being the lovely blogger and human being that she is, was about to start her day with the sweetest surprise, literally. It was around 10:00 am and Maria was expecting a call. The surprise was one call away; the cake that she had envisioned for the birthday girl was on it’s way. The phone rang and a happy Maria hurriedly started down the stairs, taking Diana with her. Diana thought, “What could it be?” A few stair flights later both young ladies came face to face with a smiling cake baker named Maggie. Without losing any more time, Diana was shown the cake. A smile started to form on her face as she caught the first glimpse. “YESSS, SUCCESS!” Maria thought.

Ok guys, this is Maria speaking and you might be thinking this sounds like a fairytale. Well that’s because it was. Because really, isn’t dessert always so dreamy? And doesn’t the birthday girl deserve to be treated like a princess? I sure think so.

For Diana’s birthday dinner we enjoyed what I like to call a ‘Peruvian Feast.’

As if we hadn’t eaten enough (we love food), we woke up to cupcakes courtesy of The Perfect Cake Inc.

Safe to say, it was a sweet birthday! Thanks for everyone who made it so! We appreciate you.
